Kinrande means  "gold brocade" Japanese porcelain style where gold is applied on the surface. Kinrande style were particularly popular in Baroque era Europe, amongst the foremost collectors being King Augustus II the Strong of Poland.

Sho Chiku Bai means pine, bamboo, and plum. They are particularly associated with celebration , appearing on greeting cards and as a design stamped into seasonal sweets.
