Kichiemon Kiln specializes in textured surface decoration for porcelain.
Arita-yaki has traditionally reused damaged porcelain in firing as glaze.
The current 16th generation spent 10 years developing a technique to create a bubbled decoration with reusing broken porcelain combined with kiln's traditional techniques. 
These plates are also decorated by hand, one by one.
